So I'm back from Anime Expo. Been back for a couple of days now actually. Trying to adjust to mundane life again. No running around photographing random people or to random events and whatnot. XD Ahhh. I'm going to miss it. Can't wait for next year. Cuz I decided on the second day of the the convention (or was it the third? XD) that I definitely want to go to next year's.

So before AX, I went to Disneyland. Got a pair of Mickey Mouse hands and a hat. Like the one that he wore in Fantasia. XD I skipped around the park a little bit... wearing them.... looking like a complete tard. Went on some rides. Had a lot of fun. Probably more fun that I should've.

At AX, I got to see Jyukai, who I'd never heard about before, but they were so. damn. awesome. I'm now in love with their music. Also saw Yoko Ishida. And Shoko Nakagawa who was so full of energy she made me tired just watching her. Ha ha. There was a lot of waiting in line.

Oh. And I got to see the masquerade which I missed out on last time. My favorite act was the guy who dressed up as Ryu Hayabusa (did I spell that right?) from Ninja Gaiden and told bad anime jokes. "Where does Kagome clean her clothes? Inu-washa." "What is Spike's favorite brand of paper towels? Bounty." And his last joke consisted something about how Twinkies decided to go out of business or something because they found out that Naruto had more filler. XD *dead* It was so corny it was awesome.

I also picked up a bunch of stuff that I probably don't need. Like a couple of Code Geass books. And... Code Geass post cards. Code Geass cell phone charms. o___o My phone doesn't even have anything to hang a cell phone charm from. But... I couldn't pass up Lelouch with kitty ears. A couple of Code Geass buttons. Yeeahhh. o___o I don't really need any of it. XD But it makes me oh so happy.

Got a bunch of random free stuff. Ah... a Lucky Star poster that my friends grabbed for me when they were giving them away at the Bandai booth. And then I got another one signed by the dub cast which was nice. =D Wendee Lee was there and I kinda enjoy her work. I think she did the voice of Konata for the series. I also got a signed Code Geass poster from the dub cast, but I kinda wanted to ask if I could just have the poster and go. XD Not too big a fan of that dub. But Suzaku's voice is pretty good. I got a Blood+ poster from the Dark Horse booth... a ton of random little post card/flyer things. A little tote bag. I got an autograph from Jyukai. And from Mr. Masahiro Ando who was the director of the brilliant Sword of the Stranger. He drew nanashi and Tobimaru on my poster. =D Yay yay.

I think I'm done rambling now. lol It was so fun. And I'm already trying to recruit people to go next year.

Aside from that...

Went up to Yosemite for the weekend. Climbed up the side of a waterfall and discovered that I have the stamina of a 64-year-old man. And... not a very active one at that. :P What can I say, I suck.

But!! I got to pet a squirrel!!!! And it was AWESOME. XD

I got a nasty spider bite on my left leg though. It was huge and gross and swollen the next day. Looked like I had a second knee cap just about (it was right below my knee cap). XD It was disgusting. But I've been putting stuff on it and so the swelling's gone down. But it still itches. A lot. And I'm always tempted to scratch it. :|

Will post pictures next time. Probably. Maybe.

Code Geass is awesome. AWESOME.

But because of my lack of a life, I'm now all caught up. :( So now I have to wait for a new episode every week.

I have to admit though, the last episode of the first season majorly pissed me off. XD Good thing season two already started airing and I didn't have to wait months and months.

Did some reading (because that's what I do when I don't sleep) and found out that it's been licensed and airing on Adult Swim. Meh. :P I most likely won't be watching the dub but think Crispin Freeman would've done a better job than Johnny Bosch as Lelouch.

If I knew that I was going to get this into the series, I would've never given away the poster that I got with Animedia. XD Phooey.

Ahhhh... XD not much else to talk about because that's pretty much what I've been doing. e.e; Staying up til 5 or 6 in the morning just watching this blasted series.

I'm going to watch the Bleach movie on the big screen on Wednesday because I'm lame like that. :P

I should probably do something constructive soon before my brain starts rotting.

Turned in my final portfolio for photography class. :P It's pretty much done. Next week is just a showcase of the student work this semester. It was a lot of fun and I'm feeling kinda sad and empty now that it's over and I'm considering taking the intermediate class.

One more class to get through in the next two weeks or so, I think... and I'm pretty much done. And then there's AX to look forward to. And Disneyland. XD Whooo! Can't wait to get out of here.

When I can't sleep, I Google random things and read stuff on Wiki. >___>; I'm sure I'm not the only one. XD Right?

A couple of weeks back I found out about a deleted song from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame movie. Sadly, I don't think there's an official audio version available anywhere. Blast you Disney and your deletion of awesome song stuffs. A pop version of the song was recorded by the R&B group All 4 One and played over the ending credits of the movie (and is also available on the soundtrack). The deleted version however was sung by Heidi Mollenhauer who did the singing voice for Esmeralda in the movie. And it would've been soooo nice to have an Esmeralda version of the song. At least I think so. XD Ha ha.

So I've been using Google to try to find an audio the Esmeralda version... but I've been unsuccessful. And then tonight....!! I forget what phrases I searched for, or maybe I just typed the song lyrics into the search bar, I found a version sung by Celtic singer Chloe Agnew. Not quite the Esmeralda version that I was hoping for but she does a nice rendition of the song anyway. :P

Nothing beats laying around in bed and watching old Disney movies. Now if only I weren't so sick. :P

I finally just watched Enchanted yesterday. It was so typically Disney, which made it awesome. I liked all the random references to old Disney stuff, and how they even poked fun at themselves a little bit.

I'm not sure what it is exactly I have. It's either the flu or a really bad cold. I felt really sick for a couple of days, and then I was fine for about a week or so, and now I feel like complete crap again.

What to watch next? Lilo & Stitch?... maybe Pocahontas. :P

Ahhh... human beings. Why must you be so problematic? If you weren't so problematic, you'd be that much more awesome. (Sorry if I offend anyone by this, but honestly, I think human beings in general are just a problematic bunch, but of course there are always exceptions.)

A fine example of this problematic-ery: I got hacked. Again.

I don't believe I did anything to warrant it. Nothing that I can remember anyway. :P I guess the bright side is that not too much damage was done. though when things like this happen, it just makes me not care about updating (cuz... why should I if it'll happen again, right?) and hate mankind even more.

I'm gonna be a hermit when I grow up.

My throat hurts. I hope I'm not getting sick again. That would suck. I was just starting to get not so sick too.

Looks like the design job is a go. =D Yay yay yay. Now if only I can find a permanent, or semi-permanent design job. That would be grand.

I'm finally figuring out how to use my camera. XD I was wondering why my pictures were turning out so freaken blurry. Hey... there's a focus ring that you can turn. Who'd a thunk it?!! Crazy right? A focus ring on a a camera. XD Psh. ha ha ha. So even on a manual setting now my pictures turn out pretty decent. XD ha ha ha. e.e; I'm kinda kicking myself in the butt mentally because it should've been that way from the start. If only I had read my manual more carefully. haha. Ah well, trial and error right? At least I'm learning. :P

I'll probably post up pictures next time once I organize and resize them. Prepare for lameness. And squirrels. :P

I was supposed to be in bed hours ago. :p At least that's what I had planned on. I didn't get very much sleep this week because of school. But I'm not feeling very sleepy.

I got into Digital Photography. Yay yay yay. :p Just looking at the course description, it's a lot harder than I had anticipated. And according to teacher, photography is more than just looking through the lens and snapping just because something looks good. Which is EXACTLY what I've been doing. XD Oy. Looks like I've got a lot to learn.

I just stopped going to Advanced Illustrator before. I just couldn't get very motivated to do my work. Needless to say, I kinda failed it. :p I got about four or five assignments done. So I'm re-taking it this semester. I'm bent on passing it and finishing up the final project. (Which is a calendar, with a cover and bindings and all that) Illustrator teacher is a pretty boy. :P And young. I was kinda skeptical and bored and so I googled him and his work is awesome. He's done all this crap and gone all over the place and he's only 25. Great. Hello inferiority complex. :p

I want to get an infrared lens. :p Apparently, there's one that let's you see through people's clothing, but no, not that one. XD I want the one that turns green things white and skin color dark blue.

I want the rain to stop. -___- It's been raining for a week and it's starting to depress me. I have four pairs of shoes and three of them are soaked. :p That was to be expected I suppose, Converse's don't hold up very well against puddles of water. For some reason, the high top pair has held up well for two days now.

Please stop raining so I can go out and play with my camera.

Which reminds me. o.o I can't find my manual... argh. I'm sure it's around somewhere, but it wasn't where I thought I left it. :|

I finally got to take my camera out a few weeks ago.

I like this last one (needs to be more centered, I'll go back and get a better shot of it), but I forgot to pull the PowerShot out to do a comparison when I got to this point:

Maybe it's just me, I dunno, but it looks like the colors from the Powershot shots look... more... vibrant? There's probably some settings on the D40 that I need to play around with. The guy from Ritz was nice enough to come in and check up on how I was doing with the camera. XD When I told him that the colors were more vibrant on the PowerShot he told me to bring in the D40 for them to look at whenever I have time. I tried reading through the manual myself, but I got through about three pages, I'm no good at reading stuff. :|

It's storming like crazy here, well, not currently. XD But it was earlier in the day. My neighborhood is a mess. Branches, and debris and broken fences everywhere. If I wake up early enough tomorrow (not likely seeing how it's already about 3:40 Ha ha) I might go around and take some shots of the chaos that is currently Sacramento. XD Parts of the freeway were flooded and perfume guy that works across the way told me that they even shut down the freeway. It wasn't anymore at 9. :p Which is good. Maybe the river'll be flooded and if it is, that might make for some interesting pictures. =D

Ahhh... saw One Missed Call last night, and they completely changed the ending. :p Knew that was going to happen, but other than that, it was similar enough to the original. Some things were explained or clarified that was confusing in the original (I think.) A few things were changed here and there (in the original, when people died, it just happened, like BAM. But in the remake, they had creepy ghoulies and whatnot shadowing/scaring the people that were going to die), but I think the big thing was the ending. :p Other people were grumbling about it as they were leaving the theater. "That wasn't what was supposed to happen." Ha ha. It's good for about 1 1/2 hours of entertainment.

o.O Why am I craving pineapple in the middle of the night?

Monday already eh?

So... after a weekend of hell, I am now the proud owner of a Nikon D40.

I want to do some comparison shots with my Canon Powershot A430, but I can't really play with it until Tuesday because I have a final tomorrow (in a few hours actually) and then work the rest of the day, and then another final on Tuesday. :( When I was paying for it today, I was telling the guy about my current camera (the A430) and he seemed to be a bit taken aback, I guess because it's kind of a big jump. And... I really don't know what I'm getting myself into. ;D But ah well... I'm sure it'll be fun! I have instructional DVDs. Yay. =D

And after Tuesday, no more school! Yay! Not til the end of January anyway. I hope I get into that digital photography class then.

If all goes well, maybe eventually I get to upgrade to the D200? ;D It's nice to be able to dream. Ah ha ha.
